Well, for those of us without tags, or tags for nother season, I thought I'd go see what had come across from Antelope Island into Syracuse this year... There were plenty of other people around too- but this is what I found...

That rack on that NT is incredible. High and wide with multiple points.
A dream buck. Thanks for posting.

please come quickly October. please hurry..... these videos are making me go crazy! thats a slammer buck. good post!

Went and looked at the big NT again on Sat evening. He, along with 3 other small bucks, came to within 40 yards of my dad and I... I didn't take the video camera, and it was too dark for my point and shoot to take a proper picture.

With my dad's 16x Nikon's, I was able to really study his antlers... He has double brow tines on both antlers, he has 4 cheaters on his left, and 2 on his right making him a 10x8, pushing 35" I think... Once in a lifetime buck for sure...

Is he worth $265,000 though...??

it would be funny if those deer got the memo of a hunt and stayed off the island.

Pretty sure that those deer would be safe on the island during the hunt. Just po-dunks compared to whats out there SW.

I've seen a lot of the bruiser bucks on the island over the past few years, I'd say this one is in the top 5 bucks out there right now. I've only seen 2 that might have scored better (so many points) but not nearly as wide... I've seen pics of a couple others...

But a 35" 10x8 seems like it would be a reasonable buck to take on the island... As soon as the corn gets cut, he'll head back over there... I plan on getting pics or vid of him on the island if I can... that'd be pretty cool...

You really think those deer would walk the causeway? I highly doubt it. They have no reason to do that they get fed all year. They stay in the farms and the wetlands out there........ Unless you have video of that buck on the island this winter, you won't convince me.

There's still another monster typical that lives in that corn with the big NT!! I seen him about a month ago and was scratching my head on which one I would shoot?? I still think they are coming from the island even though I have a hard time believing they walk down the causeway. I live on that road everyone drives to get a peek at these deer and have never seen them before. Therefore leading me to believe they are coming from the Island. I can sit on my deck drinking coffee and video those deer and they never showed up until that corn was around five feet high.
