Heading out tomorrow for my last chance at finding a good buck on the Books. I was out there two weeks ago and had a blast getting on some pretty descent bucks. I may have passed up a couple that I shouldn't have but no big deal it was fun. If any of you have any ideas where I might make the most of a couple days out there I would appreciate any input you may have. Thanks

The last trip was a lot of fun minus the government chasing mustangs and all the hounds doing there thing. I saw a lot of deer, not the same big ones I was seeing two weeks ago. s=Somehow they started to shrink as the velvet came off 
I ended up killing a 26" 4 x 4, with typical book cliffs forks. I missed a couple bigger bucks, somehow my arrows wouldn't penetrate bushes very well. There were two real dandies I was after for most of the hunt but it didn't come together with either one.
I also ended up watching and filming a real nice 28 inch 4x4 get shot opening morning.
All in All it was fun, kind of what I expected. Not the Henries but at least I got to hunt before I turned 80.
