I am the hunter who took this buck. I shot him on the opening morning of the muzz hunt while hunting on public land. I am hoping to publish the story in one of the magazines so I won't give too much detail here. "235" is the rough green score. He has many "thorn" like cheaters around his multiple eye guards that we believe are scoreable that you cannot see too well in these photos. Stay tuned for a more detailed story (hopefully).

That deer and the hunter needs to be published in every hunting magazine. Any mag. that over looks this one is doing a disservice to their readers. Congratulation sir, that is a rare and an amazing example of a mule deer. Mature mule deer are the most magnificent big game animal on the continent, IMO.

I wish there was some way you could have his teeth age tested. Maybe a call to the DWR could get that mystery answered. I'd even pay to have the test done if there is a lab that would do it.

Thanks a lot for posting your photo's. Proud of you.

Wow. The Cache has the genetics to bad it doesn't have a bigger population of deer to be hunted. Just think if they managed it very strict that unit would have some great huntin. Congrats. Did u see this buck before or did u luck into him?

Congrats on taking a Toad on public land....

Alot of guys go a long time not seeing anything like that. Thats a trophy of a life time, congrats.

Thats some sweet headgear! The buck is pretty nice too.
Seriously, that is one awesome buck, he has everything. Congratulations!

Congrats on your awsome deer. As said before, alot of guys go their lifetime dreaming about a buck like that and never even seeing one, let alone killing one. Congrats on a very unique find and freaking stud of a buck!

That's an amazing buck... Considering where it was taken makes it even more impressive.

I have never even heard of a buck this big coming out of Logan Canyon..!! (In rececnt time anyway) It should be a record for the area or something... I have seen a couple giants come from deep into Green Canyon, still, few and far between.

This is a buck of 2 lifetimes...!! Wow..!!

Son of a biscuit! I want to throw a rock in some trees and have that thing staring me down too!!

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...
