I have a beautiful Shilo Sharps Mdl of 1863 for sale. It is the 3 band rifle with a straight grip stock, .50 cal and can be fired with a paper cartridge or as a muzzle loader with an 80-100 gr charge. The paper to make the cartridges is available from Dixie Gun Works. It is very accurate with Buffalo Bullets and would be perfect for someone active in Civil War reinactment or for Buffalo Hunting!
The case hardening and bluing are perfect as is the bore. The Walnut stock has a couple of small dings and shows scabbard wear near the action but otherwise is in excellent condition.
The rifle was mfg by Shilo in the early 1980's and is an excellent example of their superb workmanship. There is a 2-6 yr wait for their new replica Sharps, depending on the model. They no longer mfg the 1863 model.
