2012 Deer Permit Numbers

With the application period only a few months away, does anybody know when they plan to set the permit numbers for the new Utah hunting units?

It seems to me that this isn't something the WB should just throw a dart at the wall and say "well lets try this this year and make adjustments next year".

I would like to see them put a plan together with actual data behind it and get it out early for review.

The number of hunting permits will be determined by the Wildlife Board in May 2012.

It would be nice to review a general estimate prior to applying for the units.
Applying in Feb and learning the permit numbers in May seems a little backwards.
