The hunt was a blast. As a first time BC hunter I did not see as many 22-24" bucks as i would have expected to see but it all worked out in the end. This was the biggest buck I seen on the hunt. With the weather being as hot and dry as it was I elected to spend the evening's hunting a water hole (stock pond) that I found scouting prior to the hunt. After watching well over 100 deer and a number of decent bucks come water over several evenings, this nice 4 x 4 came in for a drink right at dark. Distance was 63 yards, and he never heard the gun go off. In fact he fell dead in the pond and I had to wade in after him!
All in all, a great hunt with memories to last a lifetime. He measures just over 28" wide. Thanks to all who tried to at least point me in the right direction!
