Ideas on wall mounts

I got my buck back and need to build a wall mount for a european head. Any ideas out there. I seen one on here with a metal bracket, but thought a wood one would look good. Here's my big three, any thoughts!

You can build a plaque that kicks it up and gets it away from the wall a bit like this one I did...

Do you pilot drill the skull to attach it, or is there a better way? I just don't want to screw this up, its my biggest to date!

Skull hooker. They work great. Got the wife's Dutton bull on the wall with one.

I have a few wood ones like shown. But I like the skull hooker. I found mine on camofire.com . I think it was only 29 bucks.
