LAST EDITED ON Nov-18-11 AT 07:20PM (MST)[p]I just finished hanging the European Mount of my 2011 western Colorado deer, I'm very happy with it and High Desert Taxidermy in Fruita. Kraig had it ready for me in less than ten days.

It's hanging in the entry way.

I wanted to put in the living room, in fact I think it deserved to be there. My Wife said because it had fewer points than her 1999 deer it had to stay in the entry way location. I'll have to find a bigger one.

Yep, never argue with the boss! Better find a bigger one. That Euro looks good!!

Very Nice BeanMan... did your Taxi guy use beetles or peroxide? I just noticed he was able to keep the sinus bones intact. That's real hard to do.

Very Nice! It's in the details. I've done a few euros and have to say about 30% I can save the fine bones. You have a real peice of art there BeanMan. Congrats!

First of all beetles do not get them white, peroxide does, the beetles eat the meat only, but the only way to keep it white is to degrease the skulls before the peroxide. Which usually takes longer than 10 days.

99.9% of the skulls I do have all the nasal bones intact

Turned out great!

Do you mind me asking what the going price on this is? I have long thought about getting into Taxi work and this kind of thing might be a great way to start (beetles and such).

Thank you for the response BeanMan.

I love the mount and buck and think you should "sneak it" in the living room! LOL.
