Wow- if that is what that buck looks like right now, he's in trouble this winter... You can already see his ribs like it's February...

That's quite a rack he's got on him. This is the first pic I've seen of this buck...

LAST EDITED ON Dec-06-11 AT 01:00PM (MST)[p]Here is this same buck from 2010. He ended up being hit by a car (lite hit) and got a wound on his upper left flank. Thus the wierd growth on his right side the next year.

I'm such a good photoshopper!

That buck is alive and well.......I was within 25 yards a week ago and couldnt get one in him. I hope he makes it through the winter. He'll be a fun one to try to track down and stick next year. Great pics. Thanks for posting.

I didn't even recognize him because he broke off that big split eyeguard. Cool he's still alive. I wonder if he'll go back to normal next year now he's not injured.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-07-11 AT 01:01PM (MST)[p]I gave it my best shot to find and kill this buck, but he just disappeared that last week of the hunt. I don't know if anyone killed this buck or wounded it, but I hope he didn't get stuck and not found. I saw a group of about 7 or 8 guys scouring the area where I'd seen this buck, but I didn't get down fast enough to talk to any of them to see what they were looking for. They didn't seem to look that long if they'd shot a buck like this. I found someones arrows and quiver in this area with one arrow missing. Send me a message if your missing it and the brand etc. Don't you love the mysteries of hunting sometimes? It can drive you crazy! Thanks for posting more pictures of this buck and some history. I've been trying to come up with a name for this buck and thought of "Three Beam", but after hearing that he got hit by a car maybe we should call him Lucky!

Yea I have photos and video of him last year and in the spring this year but I am not nearly good enough to Photoshop it all out!! LOL

Funny thing is I'm not a bow hunter and I had him within bow range. He was rutting a doe so I just watched him for about an hr and took pics w my spotting scope. I was going to title my post "15 inch bases" but decided that post did not need to be resurrected. Besides, I don't think he'd go 15.

Cool to see those other pics w all his eye guards.

They don't get big if there stupid I guess or just plain lucky! I'm amazed how many deer are out now that the buck hunt is over. I've been seeing bucks everywhere I look. Sneaky suckers! I think you might have better luck with some of these bucks if you just wore normal clothes. As soon as you stop or get off trial they know something is up.
