seeleymt, this was 100% on our own. We didn't have an outfitter, but I know there are quite a few acres that are leased from the local farmers. We've never used an outfitter so I can't really give any information on it. Kansas's fish and game website has a map that shows walk-in areas that hunters can hunt without getting permission from the land owner. Some units have more than others, but it may be a good thing to look into if you didn't want to hire an outfitter.
