Hey bud, you mentioned in another post that we should email the rac chairs and board members because they were going to consider the 18-25:100 ratio.

When is the meeting and where or is this something they do in private?

They are thinking to change the 18 to 25 buck per 100 does to 15 to 18 per 100 does and also move tags around in units so they don't have to cut tags. Go an listen to the Nov. 30 and Dec 1 Big Game Board Meeying, they are going to send it back to the RAC and vote on it in the May meeting. It one of these slide through thing, their are 3 new board members.

The way I understand it they are looking to change SOME of the units back down to the 15:100 ratio while leaving others at the 18:100. I think this is very smart as each of these 30 units are different and wasn't UNIT MANAGEMENT the reason option 2 was approved? Not to mention we finally have some better WB members. FINALLY!

Ernie Perkins and Anis is trying their hardest to change every unit, change the buck ratio, move more tags to other units, so they don't have to cut tags and save the deer, all they talk about is money, how can we save the dollar, not how can we save the deer and you know that all they talk about is the money.
They won't let you go on a count with them, why? Their deer count isn't same count as we get, I been hunting deer for 54 years and this is the worst shape our deer heard has been in. It time to make a big change in the DWR and find a new manager. They had their chance.

Why don't hunters want quality hunting? Why don't the want to see a lot of deer? It would be more interesting for the young hunters to be able to see quality bucks, than to see just two points and spikes. My grandson said this year, grandpa we hike and hike and only see a fair three point, is it worth it.

maybe if they would drop the buck/doe ratio to 10/100 in the northern part of the state the UWC boys would be able to have their cake and eat it to. The only problem is when their units suck a$$ and they're sick of hunting 2 points they'll flood the 18/100 units and complain about not getting to hunt every year where they want and hide behind the "theyre kids dont have oppurtunity" BS line. I sure wish these "biologically sound 5-10 bucks per hundred does" guys would be forced to put their money were there mouth is and apply for these units that had 15 minus bucks per hundred does. Then they would be able to hunt every year and people who didnt mind waiting 2-3 years could have a chance to hunt mature bucks without having these guys applying for the best units and complaining about not being able to hunt evry year!
