Huntinfools thread reminded me of a deer my dad took. He was all dressed up in a suit and tie and was on his way to work. He saw a small buck drinking out of the horse trough. He went back in the house and grabbed the gun, he leaned across the deck railing and dropped the buck. He then stretched the garden hose over and cleaned his deer, then drug it a back breaking 20 yards into the garage. He washed his hands and went to work.

What was your easiest kill?

It might be the 6 point whitetail I just took in 2010. I went out about 1/2 mile from my cabin in northern MI for the night hunt and had barely sat down against a big hemlock. He damn near ran over me with his nose on the ground obviously trailing a hot doe that had been through there recently and I had to holler to stop him for the shot at about 25 yards.

A blacktail with my bow a few years ago. I showed up to the ranch at noon to scout and hang a few stands. After going through the gates and dropping my stuff off at the ranch house, it was "hunt" time. On my way to the south end of the property, I saw a nice buck just 70 yards off the road. I made a stalk to cut off the buck and made a 52 yard shot. I watched the buck drop after 30 yards. Quick, easy hunt. Done in 1 hour from the time I drove through first gate.

Topgun, they definitely don't all come easy but it's nice when the opportunity arises. Elk sniper, I'm with you. I could never kill an easy animal except the occasional road 2 point which I'll pass every time. My buddies call me the mountain goat cause every animal I kill seems to be in the most precarious cliffs around. My buddies hate hunting with me because even if there's a main trail I always find my way into the sh!th?les.

My Dad killed a 140 inch whitetail while leaning over his deck rail wearings his longjohns a couple of years ago. My easiest animal was a 5x5 elk shot while leaning over the woodpile of a buddies cabin.

hit one doing 75mph in a brand new pick-up...I think it was the costliest too..$5800.00 to repair...

I was a good bit too young and we were already inside the gates of our property when Dad said that i could shoot the buck if i spotted one that day on our slow cruise thru the ranches.

I did spot a nice big one, slid Dad's 243 off the seat where i then sat down on the edge of the old dirt road and found the deer in my scope only to then have everything explode. I'd not ever shot a big gun before but i hit that buck across the ravine, luck or not, dead behind the shoulder.

The reason that it was so easy? I had no idea in the world that i could fail. All the rest we're just that little bit tougher than that very first one.

2010 mule deer in Colorado just pulled up to the gate at first light got out with coffee cup in hand. Looked over the fence and a good Four point was stareing at me about 75 yards away. set my cup down got my gun let one fly. Made a good hit but he went over the rise. Got back in my truck to my cup of mud and let it get lighter. Went in and found him 10 feet from the road. Done before my coffee was.
