So for 2012 we now have our 30 units, not sure we know what we got ourselves into, which of the 30 do you figure are going to be units that a guy is only able to draw every 3+ years. I will go out on a limb and say Pine Valley and Beaver. What do you think? I bet a lot of folks are going to be pissed when it is only a every 4th year or more that they get to hunt "their unit."

The Pavant is in the worst shape I have ever seen. Hunted it last year on the bow hunt and hardly saw a buck. I did get off the roads for walk hunts in prime country that has had buck in the past. We shot one of the last bucks on the mountain a 24 3X4 and we worked hard to find him. I will not hunt this unit for a long time.

I wonder how good Plato Thousand lakes archery hunt will be. I think this unit is going to be a regular general season next year. Will the archery hunt be good on that unit, what could I expect.

I miss the days of 40+ bucks running around on the Pahvant. 8 years ago was some awesome hunting.

I'll be hunting the Ogden unit this next year. I hope to draw a tag on the archery hunt.

I just find it interesting that the tag #'s are sent out after the application period ends...

It was a big bodied 2 point. (this is my signature)

If they really manage the tags per unit and meet there ratio's on that unit in a few year I think there will be a hand full of quality units the strawberry valley always has nice deer if all the pressure from there is spread out I think it will be up there the boulders monroe manti and maybe with more then a few years the pavant might come back. I really am interested to see if it gets managed the way they say I think it will come back in a lat of areas.

Box Elder, all the selenium in and around the salt flats = more and bigger deer.
