If any of you out there have a opinion on how we can make the deer hunting better in Utardia??

I am having trouble finding any info on the subject so thanks for your help.

Feel free to pm me if you dont want to give anything away publicly :)..

I think a good start would be to issue more doe tags! Maybe do some habitat projects for coyotes such as build dens, close roads in their breeding and wintering areas. I mean imagine if you were a coyote. everywhere you go you see a truck driving around and think oh Sh@%, if that truck stops im hauling ass.

Having many doe tags is a good way to destroy a herd! How about fewer buck tags!

If you kill too many does its going to be like starting over from scratch and thats not an easy or fast process

who ever it is that manages your elk herds does a great job, why don't you recrute them to do the job?

Piper may be on to something..

I was more of just pokin a bit of fun toward our utah friends who dont seem to know that there is or how to find the utard forum..

Haha kayak! Most of the utah guys didn't even notice your subtle hints! just jumped right on this thread like they have the 25 other threads about helping out utah's declining deer herds. Sure would be nice to see stuff about mule deer in general on the "mule deer" forum and the stuff about utah's mule deer, utah's fish and wildlife leadership, utah's SFW (whatever the heck that is), and utah's blah blah blah, on the "Utah" forum. Nothing against Utah but I don't live there and I'd like to read a little more about things not relating specifically to utah. Here's hoping!

I live in Utah and deal with the lack of deer. But I get tired of all the frequent posts on "fixing the problem" that really is out of our hands. But do you know what I do when I see another one in the mule deer forum (BTW they are mule deer related, duh.) I simply don't read it and move onto the next subject that I do want to read.
