Deer drop them any time from late January through late March. Probably most of them around late February-early March. Elk are about a month later than the deer. It seems from my experience that the higher elevation/colder areas will have them shedding sooner than the lower and warmer areas.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-19-12 AT 09:50AM (MST)[p]Well the thing to do is to just go and start chasing them around every day, preferably with your wheeler. The deeper the snow and the colder the weather the better. They will drop before too long and you can run right up and sccop them up as soon as they hit the ground. The sheds I mean, not the deer dropping themselves from exhaustion or extreme stress.
