Has anyone drawn a public tag for State Corner or Junction Valley? My wife has 7 points for deer (she wants to dump them and start on elk points). Are the operators good to work with? How is the quality of bucks (the wife would be fine with a good looking 4 point)? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

if your happy with a 18 to 22 inch buck junction valley would be ok, not worth 7 points....maybe 2 or 3.....don't know about state corner....

I wouldnt do junction valley with 7 points. There are a lot of deer out there which makes it fun but a 20" buck would be decent out there. There are bigger but you can draw a better tag with 7 points in my opinion.

I have been on Cotton Thomas which is next to Junction Valley. Deer quality is okay 18-24" bucks. Usually several to choose from. I assume Junction Valley is about the same as Cotton Thomas. You can look at the outfitters that operate on the CWMU's to get an idea of quality. I know South Creek Outfitters does Junction Valley and Bearpaw Outfitters does Cotton Thomas. Don't know much about State Corner. Don't know if that helps you much. If you are looking for other units, check out www.biggamedrawodds.com for an easy way to look through resident draw odds. Good luck!

Been there once and it is not worth 7 points, not even close. Try Bastion, Cedar Canyon, or Folley Ridge, much better quality and doable with that many points.

State corner is awesome. it took my son 5 points to draw, The outfitter is Extreme Outfitters. Greg Bird is the contact. They were really great to work with and we saw high quality bucks. My son shot a 162 4x4 with eye guards. Young deer and his very first deer. He chose this buck over all the others that we saw after we could not find the buck that we were after. He did pass up a great 4x4 that was super tall but narrow. Mostly would have gone 178 to 182.The biggest deer we saw was at 583 yards and pushing 200. I would defintly burn your points here.
