It was great to get to meet quite a few of you at the expo. I really enjoy the expo. Just a bunch of people with the same interest as myself and that makes for a fun few days. I have been one to get to caught up with how many and how big the animals are there. But this year I took a different approach and tried to enjoy the moment. I love the taxidermy work and and most importantly love the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors even if was inside. Size brings me to this weeks buck. This buck is one of the bucks I entered at the competition this year. He is most likely a buck that many MM Members would overlook. Although he is not big by trophy standards I feel he is a great buck for the contest for a few reasons. Number on not a whole lot of people have actually scored a buck like this and secondly not a lot of people actually know how to score a buck like this. This may be a learning opportunity for some and may help some of those not wanting to have to drop any more score after a rough start.

2012 Score Contest Rules
1. There will be 13 overall contests. To compete for the overall prizes one must compete in at least 10 of the 13 contests. You can compete in over 10 contests and your worst scores will be dropped.
2. There will be 13 overall weekly contests also. The best score or scores of the week will win a prize. You can compete in the weekly contest any week even if you do not want to compete in the overall contest.
3. Please only One Gross B&C Score per MM Member please!!!!! Contest will start on Sunday and end the following Sunday Evening. Please get in by Sunday because there will not be a set time when I post the winner. If I miss a week don't panic, but I will try and post one ever week.
4. All 13 contest will be mule deer. There will be no tricks or twists along the way. Plain and simple the closest score will win for the week and the lowest overall total will win the overall.
5. The top two places in the overall contest will receive $100 gift cards to wherever they choose. (nmbighorn was kind in his donations, thank you. Please send him a thank you if you have time)
6. All animals have been scored. A very well known scorer took his time to do so thank you to him! He has just hand written the measurements on paper and I will post a picture of paper when contest is over. To my knowledge no one has seen these scores, but remember these animals were killed last year so I am sure some people have seen them. Just know I have tried to make this as fair as possible. I will try and post a few hints to help score because I know picts can be tough. Good luck!!!!
Hint: Not the best one but in one of the pictures he is next to the buck of justice and one that will go around 190.
