Big Cemetary Buck by the U

This sweet buck hangs out in the cemetery by the U of U campus in SLC. What a sweet lookin buck with the split beam on that right side. Look how thick the base is!!!

Yup, that used to be prime winter feed grounds there... I don't suppose there is much nutrition in the eating, but fairly safe as long as dogs don't wander. Great buck!!!

Why am I the dumb azz? I just wanted to share some pics of a cool lookin buck that you can see from only a few feet away. The real dumb azz's are the poachers that don't give a flip about where or when they hunt. I'm sure I'm not the only one that knew about this buck prior to the post. Apparently he's been hangin out there for quite some time.

He was saying the poachers are the DAs, not you! It may not have been real smart to show that exact spot right out on the WWW though, just because of what he stated!

Not to be a #####... but i wouldnt have told everyone where he was at... there will be a million shed hunters there pushing him around till he drops..... i would have posted the pics but not said where it was.... i know if i lived around slc i would be checkin that buck every day after i saw this ha

Sweet buck thanks for sharing. Sorry for all the blunt posts. Great bucks are hard to come by and there is more idiots out there then you can beleive that would think seriously about taking that buck illegally (sorry times we live in).

I see you are a new poster. Just learn from this and keep posting photo's of great bucks and leave the exact location out. Several may PM you and then you can give location to a select few at your selection that you may build a repore with that would love to see the tropheies first hand.

I drive through the cemetary several times a week looking at that buck. I have seen a lady in there every time I go there driving around...I hope some DA doesn't pressure him too much though. I have heard that he has eaten apples from ones hand also.

I don't think people are going to drive from long distance just to try and get his sheds, Those DA you are talking about is your friends and neighors and relatives,So if they are seeing those pictures on MM you might know some of them by their first name.

By the way that is a great looking buck should haul him out to AI so he can be safe.

Awesome pics. Thanks for posting them. Dipshitz will poach, get caught. It doesnt matter if there is not another deer pic. posted on here. There is an area very close to where I live that have some monster deer on an unhuntable piece of ground. They have security guards,deer still get poached.

My Dads best friend is buried in that cemetery, my Dad would go visit him every month. About five years ago there was a 180 type typical my Dad would take pics of, well some DA poached that buck in the cemetery cut his head off and left the rest.

The deer is no secret sorry guys he's already been on tv. And its not very often you get within a few feet from a great buck like that so good for you for trying to help out some people who just want that experience. I went last week with my little boy and he thought that was the coolest thing ever.

Does anyone know if this buck limps at all when he walks. Limp comes from the front quarters, or does he get around just fine? Just curious?

He doesn't limp or appear wounded this year, but he has a scar on his left hip from possible being hit by a car last year. That would explain the abnormal headgear.

I hate that I'm using up all my vacation days trying to get them too. On a brighter note, although it sucks sitting here in the dark waiting for his sheds to hit the ground, at least there's lots of rocks to pee on...
