No worries I DON'T think he's big! Just bothering me whether I should haven't taken him or not. The field pictures he looks bigger. Stalked him to within 20 yards a few years back.

A bit late to be questioning the shot. He is a nice looking buck, your first muley, within 20 yards... I'd be proud enough of him. If he was worth the shot and taxidermy work at the time, why would he seem less so now?

Thats a good looking first buck man. If you get a monster your first time out it makes it tough finding one that is bigger the seasons after. Pretty lookin mount.

Don't be ashamed of your buck. Obviously you were excited enough about him when you shot him to shoot and mount him. He's a good looking deer.

Sometimes we lose track of what's important in hunting when we start measuring ourselves against other hunters and our deer against other deer. The big bucks will come with time. We all get more picky the longer we hunt. That's a great first deer, be proud of him. He's a fair share bigger than my first buck.

Thanks everyone! Not ashamed at all just my first mount and see it everyday. I should post a field pic so you can see both just look different. Decided I'm getting older and mounts and pics are a must to remind me as I lose my memory from old age. ;o)

"score shmore" don't worry about it.
We all like to talk score but very few of us are really that hung-up on it. I've hunted long enough that if I like it I shoot, if I don't, I won't shoot. Pretty simple.
I like him, you like him. Congratulations on a very nice first buck!

My first buck was a one antlered spike man! Got to start somewhere. Don't listen to all the guys that talk crap about your buck. I bet their are plenty of hunters on here that have not shot a buck that big and if given the chance would arrow or shoot that buck any day. It is all about the experience and memories. One good thing that you did do for sure was get him mounted so he can be appreciated. Good looking mount.
