WY 141,162 Dates in 2012?

What is the story on the dates for this hunt?

Recently I heard they were shortened making the hunt less desirable. I looked at the 2011 regs and the hunt stayed open until Oct. 31, but was only open on Forest Service lands after Oct. 22.

What did the dates used to be?

Are there still deer on Forest Service in the end of Oct? Are there lots of deer on BLM or other lands that time of year?

Anybody know what the dates will be in 2012?

Got bad news for you. I have hunted this twice and elk hunt up there. Region H is now better than this unit. And that is not saying much. Terrible winter kill. It is a shell of what it used to be. The new dates are not different than before. It used to be held later and you could hunt the migration out on the flats when they came out of the mountains. Now that is closed and you have to get it done up in the high country. Good luck! Your going to need it. Good hunt for 150"-160" bucks.

Have to agree! Few and far between. Dates same as they change few years back. Dont waste your points if you have them right now. There are better suited areas that dont require all the points as does 141.
