I posted this over in the Alberta forum, but have not had any replies so I will give it a try over here. I am looking into an Alberta archery mule deer hunt. I really would like to go chase some of those canola bucks! I am not worried about fancy accomidations or lodges etc. etc. just a solid hunt. Any personal experience with guides or outfitter would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Byron Tofteland OF Dimond T Outfitters,I have hunted with Byron a couple of times, very good hunt excellant quality and a lot of deer. Check him out.

I hunted with Lost Creek Outfitters out of Brooks,AB in 2004. A lot of good bucks! At that time they were complaining that they needed more bow hunters. I took a 170 muley and a156 WT. Jack Franklin is the owner.

I've hunted Alberta 3 times and from all I know, Scott Taylor at Bearpaw Outfitters adnd Mike Ukrainetz take the biggest bucks on average. But there are quite a few good outfitters in Alberta.

We bow hunted big muley last year and definitely saw a lot of big bucks every day. Easily saw over 75 bucks for the week with many in the 170+ class and one of the most exciting hunts I've ever been on. Contact me if you want the outfitter details as he only takes a select few hunters on the private land each year; tags included.
