Hunt hard is all I can say. Deer numbers still down . Seems to have bottomed out I hope. Saw more deer low while driving out than up high.

We had a good hunt, passed on 4 bucks opening day.My bud killed a small 3x2 on Sunday because he had to leave. My son & I hunted till Wed & I killed a small 2x2 for meat.Thursday after the morning hunt we headed home to get ready for Colorado.

Side notes

The majority of hunters camped at Blue lake killed very small bucks from opening day on,the 3x2 my friend shot was palmmated on the 3 point side,we saw only one big buck too far to shot at just before dark & could not find him again,we saw 2 Big Bull Elk above paterson camp,we duck hunted on Tues 9:30 till 1:00 & bagged 11 ducks...............Jim
