NM 2B September Archery

I drew a 2B archery tag for the September hunt. I know this area is know for its late season hunts, but I cant find much info on this early season hunt.
Anyone have any information? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hire a local outfitter that has a bunch of good references, as an early hunt like that will probably take a lot of time and patience to find a few good resident bucks. Too bad you couldn't draw the January archery hunt, as from what I hear that is the best time for a bow hunt there. Most of the better bucks were still not down out of the high CO country the first part of November when we were in the unit last Fall.

Resident bucks are all you will be hunting! Good luck finding them and prepare not to see that many deer. It is a tough hunt for sure but there are still some monsters around. Good luck....
