Loaded sshitt up yesterday!
Left bright & Early this morning!
Started thinning PJ's!
Thought I'd get about 12 hours in today!
RIGHT!!!
Started off good!
Got about 4 hours in when it started to Rain!
Decided I'd move camp & see if it would lay off a bit?
RIGHT!!!
As I was headed up the road a Cloud Burst like no other hit!
Washed everything out of the back of my truck but my chainsaw!
Then a Big Mud Slide hit & damn near tipped my Truck over pushing me down in to a Nasty Ravine!
I was in a f'n nine line bind!
Both wheels on the Drivers side were 2 foot off the Mud!
Other side of the Truck was laying on it's side!
GEEZUS!
To top it all off I left my f'n Cell phone at the house!
And nobodyelse Stupid enough to be anywhere near where I was!
I Jacked!
I hooked the Come-a-long up!
I Jacked!
I shoveled!
I Jacked!
I stacked rocks!
I gathered rocks & tree branches!
I jacked!
I shoveled!
I cursed!
The very worst Summer Time Bind I've ever been in!
4 hours of Mud up over my waist!
Rainin like no other!
Truck on 2 wheels!
No Cell Phone!
I shoveled some more!
I Jacked some more!
I'd get a click on the come-a-long once in a while!
WAFJ!
Finally got it a little bit leveled out!
I ain't never been this Mud soaked not even at work!
I laid the Sun Shade on the seat to catch just a little of the Slop I was covered in!
By this time I didn't much care!
Fired her up!
Wound the SOB up to WOT & gave her Hell!
At first I didn't think I was gonna move & then she grabbed ahold of something!
Rocks & branches were flying!
Got it back up on the Road & felt damn Lucky!
Couldn't believe Lightning was popping in such a down pore!
On the way out I run in to another Guy Stuck!
Not even close to stuck as I was!
I hooked on to him & I mean I hit him with everything I had!
Ain't tow straps neat when you got somebody tied on to the other end I thought to myself!
All in All I shoulda just sent the UDWR the damn money,I'd of been way better off!
Now I gotta go back,my 12 hour day was cut short!

I went and collard fawns got 33 hours in 2 1/2 days. sttm been there and done that before ( not to that extent) but been stuck on a dh project and it blows.

Ha Ha that is funny. I had that happen to me a few years ago but we were up above Provo and it started to pour and we got stuck. One guy who volunteered his truck was and was hauling a heavy trailer full of bushes and plans to transplant got stuck and we spend half of the day trying to get him off of the mountain! Could have caused major damage to his rig. We were all beat by the end of it. This year I couldn't find many projects in my county so I had to go to Salt Lake to the shooting center and get a few hours. Pretty frustrating and you really start to wonder if it is worth it.
