I have 1pp for mule deer and am researching now for the 2014 season. I would have 2pp's going into the draw and have never hunted mule deer before. I am looking to do an early season hunt up high and don't care too much about trophy quality but want a quality hunting experience in gods country. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
I have narrowed down some areas to the northern part of the unit. Also, being from NY my scouting is going to consist of google earth to locate areas above timber line and then narrow it down based on water and access. I figure when i get out there to hunt we'll have to spot as we hike in order to figure out where the deer are and set up camp based on that. If anyone sees any flaws bassed on this or has any advice let me know......
