What a gorgeous buck.....and even better taxidermy job. In my opinion it's probably the closest thing to a perfect mount as one can get. Congratulations to the hunter.

I know it has been broadcasted (by many) as the P&Y world record, however, it is not. Perhaps SCI? To be eligible for world record contention (P&Y or B&C), the velvet must be stripped (no velvet category) and it must go to panel for confirmation. Either way, it's an awesome mule deer.....what dreams are made of. Thanks for posting the mount Harry.....awesome.

How would you go about caping a buck out for a full mount like that? I plan on killing a bigger one than that this year and want to get a full mount like that one.

Great buck and mount. I really like Cody's hunting show. If you haven't seen it, check it out. They show that buck in the opening sequences of the show, but I have not seen the episode about that buck.

Just watched the hunt on Wild TV. I am in absolute shock. It by far is one of the best pieces of mule deer footage I've ever seen. It had me on the edge of my seat. Unbefreakinleavable!

Not sure which is the real cape and real set of antlers, but here's another mount of that buck that I saw posted awhile ago (and it's certainly not the same cape). Regardless, both excellent pieces of taxidermy and a truly incredible buck.

In Canada we can have frost as early as the first week of Aug. A lot of years by the first week of Sept they have lost the summer reds almost completely and are in the early fall greys.
