13 X 12 Weird Muley

Found this weird buck a couple weeks ago. He is a 13X12. He doesn't score well for those of you who like scores, but he has a lot of character. He looked like a really old deer.

Cactus bucks are a weird lot. But this one I would take.

He could have more points.... LOL.... He was hard to count. He had so many small ones.

That is a big cactus buck I havent seen alot that get that tall. Awesome pic thanks for sharing

Dad used to sheep herd when he was a kid. He used to tell me that some of the herders would catch fawns and nut or partially nut them and they would cactus out. I would rather have the cactus than a four point, but scores really don't matter to me.


When they came for the road hunters I was not one so I said nothing. When they came for the oppurtunists I was not one so I said nothing. When they came for the public land hunters I was not one so I said nothing. When they came for me there was no one left to say anything!

hossblur, did you dad tell you why the sheep herders would do such a thing? Was fawn nuts a delicacy or something of the sort?
