Well, I was the lucky one to put an arrow in the following (FUZZY) pick of the deer below. But I was also the unlucky one who had to find the guys up riding in Big Cottonwood yesterday. Long story short I dealt with that all day, and was unable to get up on my blood trail. I was disappointed last night when I was watching it rain (HARD), for I knew the trail is no longer. If anybody is up that 4 wheeler trail and sees any sign of the deer I hit, I would appreciate any info. I can confirm with more pics what deer it was, where I hit him, and I know what broadhead is still in him. I am now out of town for the rest of the week, anyways if anybody knows anything as they are up hunting this week, please let me know. Thanks!!!

Man that stinks. Hope you turn it uP somehow. Looks like a pretty mature buck. Any details on that deer would be great as I hunt uP there and would keep an extra eye open for ya in finding it.

I'm puzzled at what that has to do with following the blood trail of the deer he stuck. Does anybody know what he's talking about that could fill me in?

That is a bummer on both ends. TOPGUN - there was a man who rolled his atv and people were sent to get help. I'm guessing steve was one of those who went for help and was probably tied up most the afternoon with search and rescue. The man ended up passing away on the mountain I believe. Thanks for all your efforts in helping with that situation steve. There are more important things in life besides hunting and I'm glad someone like you was there to do your best in a bad situation. I hope your deer can be found as he looks like a good one. THanks for sharing.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-28-12 AT 08:25AM (MST)[p]I heard the story from your brother. Hope you find your buck. It sounded like it was a good thing you were up there to help with the accident, but that took away from you finding your deer. Good luck, maybe Karma will smile on ya.

Nice to see someone step up and help an injured atv'er. Hope you find your buck or someone finds it for you. Good thing you did there.
Sorry to hear he passed. Wonder if an underlying condition cause the accident.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-28-12 AT 09:41AM (MST)[p]That is a sad situation all the way around. Sorry to see your season end like that. But don't give up looking for the one you put down.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear you hit a buck prior to the accident. You made the right choose in helping with the accident scene and all. Hope the buck shows up. Your welcome in my camp anytime!!!

Sounds like it would have been quite the day. You did the right thing.

Not familiar with the area but if you want or need some help in finding the buck I'd be happy to try and help.

With the amount of blood on the ground, I would say he did not go too far. You could hire (pay for gas) someone that is not working to and it should be stinking. Maybe someone on here will volunteer.

Sounds like you did what you had to do, just bad timing. Way to ruin a great hunt.

PM me if you want a hand. I don't hunt there and never will so I'm good for the secret spot. Good on ya for helping out. Sad deal.
