Colorado units 41 42 421 - 3rd season

I am looking to buy a deer voucher for colorado units 41, 42 and 421 , 3rd season rifle. Any one have any information they want to share on the unit? I am looking for a few starting points for the hunt, what kind of hunting pressure i may up against and trophy quality of the deer.

I have also looked into buying this exact voucher. I know of several people who have had the tag and they did not have alot of positive to say about quality/quanity they said lots of pressure and most of the pressure was actually elk hunters. They said that there is a reason its usually a cheaper tag and doesn't sell as fast. On the other had though I have a friend who bought the tag one year and smoked a 185 plus type buck. Personally I chose to steer away from this hunt and put my money towards something better. But you cant win if you don't play... Good Luck with what ever you do!

I don't want to burst your bubble but these units have went down hill big time.I've guided and hunted 42 for over 30 yr's. Just a few short yr's. ago I had hunter's taking buck's from 204,192,to a few in the 180's. I've taken some good buck's to but it has changed rapidly down to the point I wont waste a point on it. Not that there are'nt still some good bucks to be had but dam tough to do.I guess if it is the only tag you can get then even a bad unit is better than no unit, if you decide to hunt there good luck and get well off the beaten path.
