2012 Muzzleloader buck

Had a lot of fun hunting on the muzzleloader deer hunt this year. Ended up taking this 23" crab clawed 3x3 out of the gene pool but I was happy nonetheless. I travel a lot with work and help coach my son's football so it leaves me little time to hunt like I used to. My older brother unfortunately missed a bigger buck that was with this guy and I took this one. He will be using the cape for a nice WY deer he will be mounting (love September capes). Saw him from behind and they always look better. Regardless of the size of the head gear I always enjoy getting out at this time of year and spending time with my two brothers. Good luck to all you muley chasers and thanks for your pics. Keeps me motivated and hopeful that the big one will soon come my way.

Congrats theirs nothing wrong with that buck except its not in my freezer or on my wall! LOL good times great Buck.

Awesome hunt. I love September capes as well and that cape will make a nice mount.

You're still my hero dblkicker! The other buck was a taller 4 pt with dark chocolate antlers and dark cape. My son shot first at 150 yards but the muzzle misfired due to rain water getting on the pellets. So I shot and hit him but could not find him.
