Hey man, you should post a pic.

I'll tell you who it was . . . it was that D@MN Sasquatch!

I know that someone who drew the Alton CWMU tag killed a a 35" wide buck last week. I was told by a friend who guides on the CWMU that it had a 7" hook cheater. Sounded like a nice buck. Maybe this is the buck?

Cool cheater. Great buck!

The Pauns is having a stellar year. Been some really nice bucks people have taken there and posted up and that is only a small sample of overall harvest. Will the Pauns ever be the Henrys? Probably not because they harvest more and plus a lot of Pauns bucks get shot down in Arizona during their November hunts. Heckuva good year for the Pauns.

Thanks paul, my computer skills suck. pretty cool when someone posts your picture, and you don't have to ask. Remember I have your bino case.

I'm pretty good friends with all of the CCO guides, but it was Jason Sorenson that told me about it. He was with a hunter from Texas. Congrats on your buck, he is a smoker

Super nice buck what about some managment buck what did ya see if you dont mind sharing thanks

D13,

Not cagey at all, but 700 yds for Dan is a true "chip shot", no kidding. He is a skilled LR marksman, has invested some coin and tons of time working over his rifles and handloads... and has competed and performed well in the various competitions at Spirit Ridge and the likes.

Jaroper, This CWMU is really special. You might see 150 bucks a day just driving around, they are everywhere. You see 24" to 28" bucks daily. It takes a couple of days just to accustom yourself to the size of their racks. But, It still takes some serious hunting and patience to bag one of these big boys. It is not that easy, and you only have five days to do it. My son located this one by spotting scope, he was grid searching, and saw a small amount of antler. We watched it for two hours, before deciding to shoot it. The ears on this deer have a 27 1/2" spread, we thought that it was a 30" buck. We were pleased to find that it measured 35.
