years of hiking my but off finally paid off. the best part was i thought he was a small four about 24 or 23 wide.... until I walked up on him :)

thanks so far i can do a 1 inch group at 700 yards with it. hopefully with more practice i can extent that to 1000.

That's a nice gun. Looks just like mine. The Remington 700 Sendero? What Caliber? I have mine shooting at 1000 yards at the range. Nice deer, expecially for the cache unit!

You must have been a ways out to think he was a small 4. That's a great buck. I'd say in the 170 range. Hunting is getting too easy if you can hit 1 inch groups at 700 yards. I am doing good to do that at 100 yards. Of course both your rifle and scope look like they are 10 times more expensive than mine.
 
Sorry bro nobody does 1 inch groups at 700 w/ a factory sendero...yeah maybe you got lucky and put 2 shots within 1 inch at 700 yards but not 3 and don't even say it was 5 shots. Everybody gets lucky once in awhile in a group at long range and we tear it off and bring it home and brag about it to our friends, but we don't say our gun does it everytime...they'll eat you alive here for that comment. On a better note, really nice looking deer, love the roman nose.
 
I don't know where you get the 1 inch group at 700 yard from. I'm happy hitting a 10 inch metal plate at 700 yards three times in a row.

Ok, you didn't make the comment because it could ever happen again... or even once. No butt raping from me, I just had my truth-dar alarm go off. Just don't start trowing out bets or you'll find a few guy to take you up on it.

Dont you guys think its a little ignorant claiming that a 1 inch group out at 700 yards is impossible. Especially when nothing has been said of the caliber of gun, conditions of shooting, or the countless hours of shooting, homework and calculations made to achieve such a claim? hard to believe? yes. Difficult to achieve? most definitely. impossible? far from it!

Awesome buck! How wide is he? I would guess around 175 to 180 range on the score.

I would also LOVE to witness someone shooting 1" groups at 700 yards, that is literally world record type shooting! Are you a competition shooter cause that kind of shooting skill would put you in the top .0001% of shooters across the country.

Like your Big Buck. Comparing it to your 26" barrel on that Sendero, he is a 28 incher, and scores 188. I'm guessing that you shoot a 7mm Rem Mag. I like your muley pod on the stock. Is that a Leupold vari-x-2 6x18?

Get your self the vari-x-3 50mm 8.5x25 with the varmint recticle, with the side focus and turrets. With that scope, you will make your 700 yarder a little easier.
 
That is a great buck. I'm thinking a lot of the score guesses are low. 180 is the min I'd go on him. I'm betting he's closer to the upper 180's.

I can't speak for the other posters but I've been as gentle as possible about your claim of 1" group(s) at 700 yards.

Why would you think we're ignorant? Don't you think it's a little insulting, to us, to make the 1"@700 claim? Some of us shoot a "little" bit too and I'm not trying to bust yer balls but really? If you'd said "I shoot groups which average about 4" at 700 yards" we would have all gasp in awe but to those of us who shoot to those ranges, 1" group(s) are, well, beyond belief.

Difficult; yes! Impossible...once;no! Repeatable; Never!!!

I still think it's a great buck and a robust congratulation is in order. You should be proud of your accomplishment.

SO, WHAT DOES IT GROSS SCORE????

that is a great buck but im with zeke on the group claim, if your truly shooting 1'' groups at 700 you should contact the marine corp and tell them you want to take over the scout sniper program, if your as good as you say you are then they should hand it over gladly

the world record 1000 yard group is 1.403 inches, at 700 yards thats a .9821 group, there have been too many wild and faulty claims lately, it would be nice if people kept it real.
 
He had a guy holding the target and just before the bullet gets there, moves it to meet the bullet :)

If you can come anywhere close to the bull at 700, I want you on my sniper team!

well guys thebuck actually scores 166 1/2 i was a little suprised at his score but overall greatly satisfied i had to know if others were seeing him as bigger than he actually scores as well. thanks for the guesses.
