Hey everyone I could really use some help. Tonight I was out helping my brother on his deer hunt, and while riding on the back of his 4-wheeler my spotting scope and tripod slipped out of my backpack on the road somewhere. Its a Swarovski 20-60x65. It is in a carrier with the tripod strapped to it. I Lost it on the South end of the Pavant range above Joseph. I was out by the Missouri flat cwmu. Right around the Louis hollow area. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hope you find it thats SUCKSSSSSSSS BAD man.

Just to add some more info, while I was talking with Brady last night he also mentioned a Black Jeep was driving up the road behind them last night. After noticing his scope was missing he started back tracking and looked for the Jeep but was unable to find it. If you have seen a black jeep in the area would you please let us know if you know where they are camped or who they might be so we can ask them if they came across it.
Thank You so much for your help.
Kory

Really doggbiter....? Pretty messed up. Good luck finding it! Gotta be a sick feeling.

I still remember the day I had a few too many at the banquet auction and raised my hand, winning me a new $2000 Swaro scope. The look on my wifes face was SCARY! If I lost mine I am pretty sure she would cut off my wrinkle bag. More often than not this scenario doesn't end well, hide the knives at home!

See dogbiter, I'm not the only whiner. Kick his sorry butt off. He gets off on being a dink. Give him the boot!

Good luck man with your scope. Would any insurance policy cover it? Just wondering if that's a possibility?

Because if someone is extending their hand for some help and you make a Db comment like that it doesn't help. You really have to ask?

Wow, what a shame that happened. I sure hope the finder will do the right thing and see its returned.

On a side note, I lost my Zeiss 10x40 's some years ago in the same area. I was out hunting and just before dark, I got a call from nature I took my glasses off, set them down and walked off without out them.

I just happened to be hunting with a kid named Steve Utley. No doubt one of your relatives. He originally came from Joseph. Long story short, Steve and I hiked back to where I thought I lost them, and after searching for quite some time, Steve found them. I hope your outcome works out the same for you.

Have a good one, and good luck to you. I will also donate a nice canvas wildlife print to person who found and returns your scope!

Have a good one BB

Thanks buglinbilly, thats way nice of you. I am also willing to give a $200.00 dollar reward for whoever returns it, or provides information that results in the return of my scope. Thanks everyone for all your nice comments. buglinbilly Steve Utley is my dads cousin.

Good Luck. There are good people that would return it. Just last weekend on opening week end. My son lost his wallet. 2 days later there it was in the mail. Kudos to who ever returned it. Rutnbuck

I hope you find your spotting scope. You could turn this into your Homeowners Insurance but depending on your policy I don't think there would be coverage.

If you have the typical Homeowners Policy Form 3 the coverage for your Personal Property is covered under named perils only. (fire, theft, windstorm etc.) Your situation would fall under mysterious dissappearance and to have that coverage you would have to have a Homeowners Form 5 or a seperate endorsement to your Homeowners policy that provides coverage to the personal property of all risk of direct physical damage except for certain exclusions.

If would be worth calling your insurance agent to discuss. I would bet that you have replacement cost and if you do have the coverage you would only have to subtact your deductible from the cost of replacement.

Take Care,

Dave
