I know nothing of phot-shop jobs but this pic looks right to me. Huge buck but is that junk coming off his right g-3? If so, it might be enough deductions to keep him from netting enough to upset the top ranked Typical Muleys.

Heck of a monster buck! Congrats to the hunter!!

Dream buck of any mulie junkie!!! Don't think for a minute I am dawgin' this giant.

As for the world record, it looks like it falls short on the main frame. Im going to say 220-225" gross main frame without trash. Subtract the trash and it ends up down in the 210" range. (fuzzy picture, but it looks like both G3's have trash)

What a HAWG!!!

I would give my left and right testicle for that buck..not that it matter sanymore.

I want to know more..

The man behind the camera is an old friend of my Dads, Alfred E. Newman. He was the editor of a famous magazine from the 50's. The hunter that shot the elusive buck is a mild mannered man named David Banner. The buck was a resident deer and primarily lived in one deep canyon his entire life. If I'm not mistaken, the name of the area is Gothic Canyon.

GOOD GAWD A MIGHTY!

I got this pic on my phone it said it was killed in southern utah on a general unit this rifle hunt, but that's all I know.

I wonder if that ole Boy wears His Short pants in the field while Huntin?

On Second thought!

Must be warm weather & that's all you need to ride around in a Ranger/Rhino!

Probably shot the Big SOB right off the UTV?:D

If it is photoshop they did a nice job. Pretty sure I can make out shadow of fork with the kicker on the bed of the polaris. Most photo shop guys don't pick up those details.

Well, I would hope that it is real. If not, it is a superior photoshop job indeed.

That would be an amazing animal and hopefully there are better pics to come.

I usually don't care about scores, but this buck is a textbook example of perfection.....width, mass, tine length and symmetry.

Inquiring minds want to know.

"I could agree with you, but then we would both be
wrong......and stupid"

the buck is almost as wide as the dude is tall.
aren't the rhinos about 6'6" tall and about 60" wide.

The buck in the photo above blows the bucks shed im holding away. I'm purposely holding the shed close to my body just so you can see the true size of the shed. No trick photography here. I believe the matching set of the buck i'm holding was over 240 non typical and had to be close to 40" wide.

I heard that the buck came off of the Beaver mountain. That is the rumor. Don't know anymore than that.

Got word from a pretty reliable source that the deer is real. Shot in Utah and the typical frame grosses around 228.

I didn't see any like that in the NE Unit I hunted!

I'm Sick!

Real Sick!

We gonna have to Pay to hear the Story?

Is that this Deer's body in the cooler to the right? If so I would like a cooler as big as that, if for nothing more than to hold my victory beer

Photoshop!! A grown mans playstation game!
No possible way its real! 245 typical frame,
Nice job though!!

Spoke w/ a Former antler collector and official scorer whom resides in Beaver . This buck is Legit , and is close if not could be a New World Record !!! He came up w/
231 3/8" and 5 1/8" deductions !! Other official scores will score this buck , then wait for the 60 day drying period to score it again !!!

Cool. I wouldn't have a problem with the old record, Burris Buck, going out and this Big Guy replacing him. This Typical has everything you'd want in a Record Type, Monster Buck!

I would though, like to hear the story of hunting this big Buck!

That is a big buck, but as a frame of reference, the tailgate on that ranger is 48' wide and about 12" tall. He is standing about 5 feet behind the buck. Good angles.

Doesn't sound like an Outfitter was involved or it would be all over their website. Anyone else heard?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-30-12 AT 11:40AM (MST)[p]how is that on a wall already? what is the width on that thing? 38 wide?
"I've hunted almost every day of my life, The rest have been wasted"

Good holy hell. How and do I need to sell my soul to bag one like that?

Okay Hunter Harry, what is the story on the mounted buck pics? you have to know something. Sounds like we are getting jerked again?

It must be last years deer ? The one on the wall looks the same as the one in the back of the side x side.

Even if it grossed 231, it has more than 7 inches of extras, and several inches of deductions, netted closer to 220 than 225.

So, I got a picture of this buck on my phone the other day from a friend that said "Shane's buck". After seeing this thread, and seeing this picture on facebook and elsewhere, I called my friend and asked him about it and who the hell Shane was. He told me that Shane is from the Cedar City area and had killed a 4 point out west of there. He had bought a pair of replica horns and wanted to mess with his brother in law so he caped the 4 point and put it on the replica. I guess he got his brother in law, and others as well.

Im still calling foul, ok its not photo shoped but somethings real fishy here.....

Somebody always tryin to Stirr other TARDS up!

Don't know the 'Story'?

But the first Pic is not a Buck taken this year!

Try in the 1980's?

Damn well before Rangers/Rhino's were out & destroying most places!

I knew the buck looked familiar when I first seen the pic and now I know why. I know what buck it is, the buck was picked up around 1990 I belive it was a dead head. His frame Is 225 3/8 gross with just over 29" beam on the left and 28" on the right. G2's are over 20" with 9" of extras. When it was picked up it only had an eyeguard on the left side. If an eyeguard of matching size was on the right he would net 213 6/8 making it the utah state record but the orignal set nets 207.
