I want to purchase a muzzleloader in the near future. What are the specific regulations for hunting the different western states (mainly Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado) as well as different game animals. I am leaning towards a knight .45 disc, but do not want to limit my tag options. I am from Nevada and was told that this muzzleloader would be legal w/o a scope by a few people, but the regs. say a percussion ignition system is required in Nevada. Does anyone have a chart or something that is eay to interpet? Thanks.

JERRY,lots of GOOD hunts in Western states for "Smokepoles"I've been using a Knight MK-85 for sometime know, have hunted with this 50 cal.1-28 twist barrel in Arizona,New Mex.and Nv.with percussion caps and a 45 cal. sabot.Utah allows this same setup,Col.doesn't allow Sabots or the popular pellets. Not sure about Idaho or Wyoming.Just looked at the Nv. regs and don't believe the Disc System is allowed in Nv.I read something about the Percussion Cap or Primer must fit on Nipple.Go with the Percussion Caps or Musket Caps, they work just fine and are allowed in MOST STATES.Good Luck and welcome to Muzzeloading---

I called Nv. this year on 209 primers. The Fish and game told me that if the primer fits over a nipple it is legal.
