I finally got around to mounting my 2012 colorado buck. I found an old burnt-up cedar tree that I made into a pedistal.

Enjoy!

I would love ta add a 'tall' buck to my collection someday.

It used to be all about width, not so much anymore.

Nice mount!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-30-12 AT 09:47AM (MST)[p]Not what you would call your classic pretty rack of horns there but you just know that he was probably the boss buck in his area. Nice mass, lots of antler, and he's "up there"!

I really like the mounting job. He looks alive, great cape, just a really nice effect overall, Congrats!!

Very nice! Great job on the whole mount. I like those tall, heavy horned bucks!

Thanks for all the nice compliments. I was a little skeptic about the stump idea but it turned out ok!
