Found an interesting buck today. Does a deformation of this sort have to be from an injury or could it be just his genetics or something?

You wouldn't know for sure until you were able to inspect him up close unless he has an obvious injury you can see on his body.

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?

Cool pic. Injury would be my guess. The small side seems to not be centered on the head and the small eye guard looks as it is coming out of the skull. Skull plate injury is one Hypothesis, It would be interesting to see if that small side drops this spring
