Wow! hugh buck, that shot of that buck going away really shows how massive that buck is.Thank's for sharing that video.

Well at least you are honest with you production name.

I'd invest in a tripod.

Cool buck.

A little shakey or not......good video!!! Just an absolutely great buck....love those dark antlers.

That is a great video. I just had a question, what type of browse did you notice him feeding on? I see sage, but is there also bitter brush? I was having a hard time telling if he was eating the sage or not.

I'm sure he didn't feel harrassed the last few weeks at all with you guys seeing how close you could get to him over and over waiting for him to drop...

He didn't look too bothered, that is until the elk call. They either have an amazing zoom video recorder, or the buck is a half pet anyway.

The buck looked to be eating brush in front of the sage, but also couldn't tell real well.

Yep, that is a great good looking buck. And I really enjoyed the video, shakey or not. Now I'm gonna watch it again. Congrats on the sweet sheds.

Theres logic, and theres women. They don't go together.

Hell of a buck and cool footage.
I have a feeling this thread is going to get pretty entertaining when the ethics police see you guys in snow camo and a bugle.

Haha I'm sure your right. The bugle was a cell phone going off. As far as bothering the deer I think its pretty clear the buck was anything but harassed.

Absolute Giant right there. Great finds thats for sure. Spending all that time with him would as been as great as the sheds. I had to giggle when someone mentioned that buck was harrassed. Looked to me like he was waitng for you to strap a saddle on him. lol

LAST EDITED ON Jan-30-13 AT 09:06PM (MST)[p]No doubt he is an amazing buck and a great find. I often wonder though, if hazing rut-worn monster bucks like him don't occasionally push them over the edge. I for one have never been a big fan of shed hunting during the winter because of that potential. I fear that sometimes we love these animals to death. I hope not because he is special.

Shed hunting is the only way some guys ever get to hold a 230 in their hands. I am glad Wyoming passed a shed hunting law to protect the deer. Some people have no limit to their need to be cool... One step from poaching IMO

Well it appears that the ethic nuts have found this, I knew this would happen. I hate to even begin to state how careful my buddy was not to make that buck be anything but comfortable. That buck is extremely docile as I am sure everyone has clearly seen, why I don't know but he is. Just to put it in perspective on the 37th day watching that buck my buddy actually watched him shed his first antler. It wasn?t till 20 hours later did he venture the 300 yards off the trail to retrieve the shed, why 20 hours later you ask? Because after shedding his first antler the buck only went approx. 70 yards and bedded down again. It wasn?t till the next day did the buck move out of sight of the first antler that we went up there to retrieve it. Now I guess if that is harassment then we were wrong.

That is a sweet set ! It's pretty cool to spend that much time watching them and to end up actually holding them. Esply watching them hit the ground. So many people gettin into it nowdays that an antler don't even have time to hit the ground. Thanks for sharing your video

Cool little video! A few years back we watched a buck every day and named him High 5. (He was a tall 5 point, with a palmated tripod point on his G2) He had distinct color patterns on his hide that allowed us to recognize him after he shed. We went back up and found the sheds, after he moved out of the area. Because we had watched him every day, it was pretty easy to know the area they were dropped. We wondered where he spent his time come hunting season. The following year I set my dad in an escape route on opening day and High 5 tried sneaking by a 45 yds. Dad didn't know it was High 5 at the time, but was ecstatic to shoot such a nice buck. The sheds and the head are now mounted side by side. Good luck to your buddy this hunting season...

IDBone, Great video! Thanks for posting. Gotta love those big satelite dish shaped racks.

I can't believe you watched it for 37 days!
