So my in laws have historically hunted in the Fayette Utah area. A number of years back they stopped going because of crowding and deer availability. The family was thinking about going back down there this year and was curious if anyone had general information about the area since the new hunt boundaries were put in place? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

My dad lives in Fayette, but I cant imagine too much crowding in the Fayette area uless the your meaning the word "area" to be fairly large. Fayete used to be on the boarder of Southern and Sout-Eastern boundaries. Can you be a little more specific about where they historically hunted? What direction from Fayette? West, NorthEast, or perhaps they hunted over on the Manti.
Fayette just doesn't seem to be the closest town to any crowded deer hunting areas.

I think it was north east just outside of town. A dirt road a few miles north of town and then east. I unfortunately don't know the names of the hills other than "grandpas ridge".

superbadd,

I don't know that part very well at all. The further north you go the bigger the deer population gets. But I believe it also gets a lot more private the further north you go. You might want to check the boundary maps for the Heartland West and Chrises Creek CWMU's to make sure the land they use to hunt isn't part of a CWMU unit now.

Sorry I don't know more about the kind of pressure that area gets.

Sounds good. Thanks for the info. I'll do some digging on the maps and see who I can call to get more info on usage (maybe mining the hunt and harvest data from this last year).

Thanks again!
