I recently lost my garmin and in the past gave away all my maps for the garmin so I am out of luck. I just got a new Garmin GPS and im wondering if anyone can help me with any maps they might be willing to sell or let me borrow and download. I live in Wyoming and am looking for maps for primarily WY, MT, ID and the rocky mountain regions as well as alaska as I recently booked a moose hunt there for the fall. Thanks for the help.

Here's a link to maps you can upload to your Garmin.

Not perfect, but they're pretty good for being free. Federal lands aren't differentiated by agency - i.e. BLM vs Forest Service vs National Park Service, and some private/public boundary lines are off by a couple of hundred feet.

That's why I mentioned it. If you're skirting the edges of private, spend $100 and spare yourself the legal headache (maybe). If you want topo maps and a general idea of public/private for free, this is the best option I know of.

how are the maps at huntinggpsmaps.com if you are not concerned too much about private lands. I hunt primarily western wyoming and we don't have to worry about private lands too much. How is just the topo map, trails, and such with thes maps. Thanks
