Trying to get an idea of how big he is.

So, I have never really been interested in scoring deer, probably mostly because I have never hunted one worth scoring... but this weekend I put a stalk on a deer that I think is a real giant for a general over-the-counter archery deer tag. I got within about 60 yards of this deer (I couldnt see him nor him me) when he and his buddies up and decided to get out of their beds and mozied away browsing into a thicket. My spotter said they had no idea that I was there... they just got up and browsed away. I was quite bummed. Nothing I could do!

So how big do you think this deer is? Any judgments on score and width? Here is a good isometric view of him:

Here is a good picture showing the deer from behind:

Also, here is a picture of a buck that I passed on opening afternoon... It would have been an easy shot even for a novice stick flipper.... I thought he was interesting because of how tall he is compared to the rest of his antler development. This is a young deer and he is already sprouting good looking eye guards!

LAST EDITED ON Aug-20-13 AT 10:52AM (MST)[p]Here are the same pictures of the buck but zoomed in. These pictures were taken about a mile to a 1.5 miles from the deer, so I know they arent the best. I realize its hard to judge size from pictures like this but I just want to get an idea if he is 160's, 170's, 180's? How wide do you think he is?

wow... im no good at guessing scores... Id say, and I have no real experience guessing...lol I would say 170ish for the one on top and 140-150ish for the bottom... either way, they would deffinately be on my radar... sucks they got loose, oh well,... thats huntin. good luck on gettin em. What state is that in?

I know its not the same deer. The front view deer is a deer I passed on opening afternoon. Just thought I would share the picture because he is quite tall for how young he is.

This was in in Utah.

"So how old is he, errr they?"

Probably a couple years older than you and one other person on this thread.
