Great buck what a shame the end came by a Chevy than by a hunters arrow or bullet. The picture was worth the wait thanks for posting.

it had to be a city buck they don't usally have sidewalks in hunting area at least I've never seen any

This Buck was hit , just a couple blocks away from my home , just South of the Poste office on River Rd , right where the Virgin River is. This is a Buck that has been seen Multiple times in the Washington Fields , not the only Giant Non Typical in the area . There are 3 other Non Typical Bucks that reside in town , 1 that frequents the Red Cliffs Golf Course , SunBrook Golf course and another one still in Washington Field area .

There's always been debate on these big nontypicals in the Washington Fields area that are usually on seen at night in December during the rut on whether they are local or come in from the Strip. Clay Bundy, from what I've heard, tends to think they come in from the strip to rut each year. Here is at least a little proof that some are local.

Either way there are some giants out there each year during the rut. I know people try to whack them but just cant seem to do it legally. Even heard of a famous guide that thought of taking a shot last year on a 200+ buck but again couldn't do so legally.

Here is a grainy pic of a buck from back in '10 from out in the Fields. He was wide- about 30-32 inches and young.

HuntinGuy: at least you were able to get a picture !! I've never been able to get pics during the times I've seen the Bucks , just rarely expect to see them , and no camera on hand.
