WOW #2 heck of a rack ...but coat in transition fm something? Kind of Stagish looking rack all knotted up at the base then those split off toppers..very unique rack..sure will make an awesome wall hanger...congrats..

Most of that summer hair will come right out before its mounted. They can look pretty ratty when shedding their summer coat but most of it is loose and will fall out in the tanning process. That is a great looking buck. Huge body as well.

I have seen the buck in person alive and it was living in the park. Also that deer is very tame and would just stand on the side of the road as the picture shows. Is it possible it crossed in to unit 9, I guess but I really doubt it. Hopefully an investigation is being done.

I'm pulling for this deer being harvested legally. But doubtful. I have seen some monster park bucks over the years, I even lured one in with an ice cream cone at the visitor center in the early 90's that was a giant non typical! Got some great pics that day! But in 20+ years of running that unit, I've yet to ever see a park deer leave!

I just call em as I see em!

Unit 7 give me a break, could have came up with a more believable story like unit 9 and even at that it is pushing it. It doesn't look good unless the buck in the park had a twin running around in 7.

I want to apologize for slamming your kind of work, what I should have said was, For the revenue the AZ Game & Fish brings in yearly they do a pretty damn good job at trying to investigate clowns like the one in this thread! Alls I can say is perhaps you've had a run in with Game & Fish and the outcome wasn't good..

What he was referring to is the incident with a game warden that happened last year. He wounded a bull on the archery hunt, left the tag with a buddy and I believe the buddy was a g&f employee as well and his buddy finished off the bull for him. It's a long story and a lot more to it, but if it was just a regular hunter they would have thrown the book at him. I agree for the most part they do a decent job, I think they could manage some areas better, but that's another conversation.
