General unit muzzy buck

Not a monster by any means but with the crap luck I have had with deer in 24 years of hunting them, this is my biggest buck I have taken. I swear deer have aleays been my mortal enemy and except for the little dinks, they have always won

I was able to take him on a general unit so I am feeling like a long vendetta has been settled ha ha. I had to hunker down under a poncho and in my rain gear as I was in a white out for three hours but other than that, it was an awesome day in northern Utah with the weather!!

Bess, what's wrong with leaving home @ 4:30, starting hiking @ 5:30, buck down at 11:00 and back home by 2:00?? I just have to say I got damn lucky with this guy!! My boy is pissed! We got his mid term report a few days ago and no missed time from school for him as we have the same tag. We will try to get him out this weekend. (If he gets his grades up)

Yeah, falling on my ass climbing in the snow, I kinda think the scope didn't like it. It did blow his diaphragm apart and did some good vital damage still. He didn't go more than 40 yards. And that was sliding down hill.

Thanks. I hurried home cuz I had to make parent teachers conference with him of all the great timing. He wasn't very talkative or happy with me. Guess we will see if he learns his lesson and gets his grades up for the elk hunt and chasing geese this year?!?
