Hey. My brother arrowed this heavy 10X10 Mule Deer in 2012. I think you guys will enjoy the video!

What do you think about that hiding spot?

Here's the video:

How is the playback? It is a little choppy over my home connection and would like to know what others are experiencing. A lot of quality is lost over YouTube compared to straight off the computer.

I love that your videos don't feel bloated or extended for "dramatic" purposes. Thanks for sharing the video.

Great footage thx for sharing.Loved the ping on the metal after the shot. Didn't see the (nasty) canyon LOL

That vid is sick, put it in 1080 and it never skipped a beat and as clear as my Zeiss glass, congrats! I was in his position only a few weeks ago on a monster, so I could feel his heart beating when he is waiting for that giant to step out! The funny thing is I found a great buck a couple years back that hung out in an old equipment grave yard like that with a big rock pile and he would bed in-between the 2 of them, I just couldn't close the deal.
Congrats once again to you guy?s on a great buck and video!

Can't express how much i like seeing stuff like this here on MM. I used to come here to see the great pic's of big muleys that guys took from their hunts. This kind of stuff though, takes this place to a whole new level!

Congrats on the great buck and total job well done!!!

WOW!!!!! I think that's the best hunting video I've ever seen! From the actual stalk, to the camera quality and angles, to the background music, just all around sweet!!! Way better than what's on the outdoors channels today! If this hasn't been on TV, you should get it on there!!

Super buck and the video/stalk/hunt/shot are among the best ever!
Congratulations are in order!
That reminds me of some of the Eastern Colorado hunts. Wide open stuff makes for some interesting stalks.
Now, where exactly was that "nasty" canyon you were talking about? LOL
Well done guys!

Thanks for all the positive comments!

Apparently this video doesn't do the nastiness of the area any justice. It is very wide open plains type land on top with huge canyons cut into it that have a south facing barren slope and a north facing timbered/brushy side. Both sides are lined with several layers of rim rock from 10 - 100's of feet high. You really do have to choose where to cross a canyon. The part of the canyon where the video takes place is nothing compared to what it looks like a mile or two down, which is where the following pictures were taken. Where Shawn crossed was not this deep, but nearly as steep and brushy. We feel very lucky when they die on top: these canyons or too nasty to have roads in the bottom.

I wasn't lucky enough to have this one die on top:

Notice the dead buck?

Chris,
Love watching you and your bro's videos!
Nice work once again. The video editing and narration is top notch.

OK, that was awesome! I don't know which I liked better--the old equipment, or the buck. That body on that deer was so big you could shoot in almost any direction and hit him!

Thanks to all the encouraging words. I believe this to be our best video, and yes, the old farm equipment really makes it different. Shawn killed a 160 buck the year before out of the same area; it was bedded down behind one of the other implements. This year, they were not using the equipment as much, but it was much cooler, and we did not spend a ton of time there either.

Seriously. Who needs those lame a$$ cable tv shows when I can put this YouTube link on my 55" wifi tv?

I wish I had the patience to haul camera crap around.

Thanks for sharing.

"That's a special feeling, Lloyd"
