I shot this buck Wednesday night. I try to get in closer but I
Couldn't. So I try a long shot at 255 yds with a muzzleloader and was able to put two rounds through him. First shot clipped the lower part of his heart, then second shot was four inches higher double lung! I could not believe I made that shot twice with a four in group!

LAST EDITED ON Sep-29-13 AT 06:03PM (MST)[p]Thanks guys! I had a awesome time, this was my first time ever hunting with a muzzleloader, and also had my best friend with me as a spotter. Now the long wait tell next year!

That ML can shoot a long ways after you get the loads down and keep going to the range.
Congrats on a nice buck. Will look good on the wall.

Ya I got to start with buying me a muzzy, I borrowed this one from my father in-law to see how I would like muzzleloader hunting before I buy one and now I think I am hooked! I can't wait to get it on the wall with my other bucks, I do my own little taxidermy business on the side and have already sent the hide off to get tanned. I think I am going to do a pedestal mount with him and make the pedestal out of barn wood from the area I shot the buck. I will post pictures of him done in a few months!
