After a long two weekends of walking miles with my husband Lucas, we came home and picked up our kids to take them out with us on a short evening hunt 4 days before season was over. And out of nowhere my husband spotted this monster! Thanks to my Howa 243 and my purple ballistic tips that my husband reloads he didn't go far!!! He was 27 wide and 22 tall and scored 212!!! He has a 5 point frame and has "kickers" on both back tines making him a 6x7!!! He was taken in Eastern Oregon.

Thank You everyone! It was memorable for sure! And I am so glad that I had my family with me! They have been there for the small ones so Im ecstatic that they were there for this big one! I told my hubby I will be happy with spikes from here on out! We live in a small town and I have had 2 different people contact me saying that they have been trying to get this buck for years! I consider myself very lucky and God was definitely helping!!!
 
Great buck, and congratulations! Have you since learned of others who were aware of this buck? It is hard to believe that he might have gone unnoticed in this day and age.

I know of one guy that was hunting this buck during archery season until he disappeared....I've always thought all that country out there was private property?
 
Congrats on a super buck. that's really the buck of a lifetime. I really like those family adventures, so this is a really special buck.

Lol oh yes two local hunters have been watching him for about 2.5 years. He was actually directly behind my house in public land but we had a big wildfire that caused him to cross the highway to another unit and other public land. Both people I knew and contacted me to see him :)
 
Wow. U might as well sell ur gun and hang it up because it doesn't get any better than that. Congrats. Awesome awesome. That's what dreams are made of right there.
 
I love kickers! That buck is a stud. That is so cool to have your whole family in on the action. Great buck! Good eyes dad!!!
