Anybody want to share some info for the paunsagaunt rifle hunt. Where to hunt? What kind of deer I should be looking to harvest? Are the deer migrating yet etc? Let me know I really need the help
Justink will be sending PM tonight. I hunted back in '09 and have lots of info. Have helped guys on this site a couple times once with a Pauns Mgmt hunt and last year with LE tag.
In the mean time- I've attached a pretty good little map of the Pauns
The link, page 10, shows you a migration map for the Paunsaugunt deer herd. You can see the go right from the top of the plateau through those mile markers down into Arizona each winter. Doesnt mean they all do, but a fair share do. A lot also stay on the Utah side in the Wygaret Terrace, Nephi Pasture, and Buckskin areas. Pretty facinating study.
