Looking for a little help with the upcoming management hunt on the Henry?s. My son drew the tag and we have not had a chance to get on the unit the past month or so because he is playing fall baseball in college. Looking for some photos of good bucks and any info on where we might find a good management buck(3 or less on one side). We have seen some good deer in the past near the Bromine Basin, Copper Basin and the Granite Ridges, but I would imagine the bucks will start to move down this time of year. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We were on the Henry's last year in November and the deer were in all the places that you listed. You should have no trouble finding a dandy management buck.

I had a buddy that had the tag 3 years ago. From what I remember he said they were pretty high on the mountain. I'm sure this could change if they get some serious snow, but if it were me I'd look higher than you would think. I've seen and was on a hunt where we took a deer at 10,500 feet on Dec 5th. In fact on that trip 80% of the deer were at or slightly above snowline.

Well I was just down there last week because I have the same management tag. The snow has really changed things there and the bucks I have been watching this summer were not there last weekend. I did see lots of does in the lower elevation so my guess is by next week we might be looking for does and finding the bucks one could hope right. Good luck on your hunt and if you want PM me your number and I will keep in touch with you while down there.
