I got lucky yesterday morning and put this buck on the ground. Pretty unique being so narrow, he has a couple neat in lines to boot.

NICE BUCK! I love the narrow ones!!! Had a buck I chased around all season one year that I nicknamed "Radar" because he had a near perfect circle on his head.

Wow! That is some "consolation" buck following your experience earlier in the year. Nice going.

Narrow bucks like that are the kind that fool a lot of hunters, but they end up being great trophies. Width is a very small portion of a score. Keep killin'!

Sorry guys, I've been in the hills! Anyway I shot this buck on public land with an OTC tag. Pretty much the only way I seem to get things done is by putting down a lot of boot leather(somehow I get extra lucky sometimes). :) My rifle is a Remington 300 ultra, shooting Sierra Gamekings. The buck is pretty unique but Im still up in the air about putting him on the wall. He barely breaks 18 inches wide but grosses over 189 for the curious few.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-20-13 AT 03:42PM (MST)[p]I'd say put him on the wall. Pretty sweet buck and quite unique.

Congrats great buck , I would wall him too. :) unique with that heavy rack and score. When I've seen bucks like that they usually have been hanging in thick high brush or foliage so their horns are almost always touching something during the growth stages. Looks like where you got him is more open he must have been on the move looks for company.:)

Saw a couple big bucks like that in the Books...in the thick stuff just east of the big antenna tower near the top.
